
Gail Maxine Roach Humanitarian Scholarship

Gail Maxine Roach a native of Harlem, was well-known in the community for her humanitarian efforts. A superhero who spent her life working with the youth, feeding the homeless and serving the elderly. Do Mo’ Life Foundation values community service and believes students should be recognized for their efforts to improve their communities. That is why the Gail Maxine Roach Humanitarian Scholarship was established. This one-time $1,000 scholarship is awarded to one recipient each year who has demonstrated significant service in his or her community.
Who’s eligible for this scholarship?

Graduating high school seniors with potential for Community Organizing, Social Work, Human Services, and Culinary Arts
-
2.0 or higher GPA and planning to enroll in an accredited post-secondary college or university (Provide copy of enrollment & high school transcripts)

Active involvement in school and/or community

Essay describing how you have contributed to your community and how it has shaped you into the person you are today

Recommendations from community leaders or teachers
